Gifts for Rock Climbers Under $25

1. CLIMBSKIN HAND REPAIR CREAM

Rock climber hands get ROUGH, and after days and days of climbing, we need to make sure we have a solid hand repair regimen. I spent some time looking for that perfect hand repair cream, and for me, that is something that will heal my hands but not be super greasy or "thick" feeling after I put it on.

The ClimbSkin Hand Repair Cream is the best stuff I've found so far for that. It's nice to have a thicker hand cream on when you go to sleep, but sometimes you just need some hand repair during the day, and this is my go-to stuff. I love it!

Michael keeps stealing this from me, so I think he likes it also! :) This is one of those gifts that climbers can’t really ever get enough of, since we use it constantly.

2. FRICTION LABS LOOSE CHALK

This is my favorite brand of climbing chalk. In my opinion, it just feels better than any other chalk that I've used. I feel like spider-woman with this chalk (unless I'm bouldering in Bishop and have no skin left on my hands). I'm converted!

Gorilla Grip is my favorite texture choice – it’s "chunky" but not "overly chunky". However, they have different kinds as well if that suits you (or your friend) better. Another great gift under $25 that climbers can never have enough of!

3. CLIMBSKIN DOUBLE-SIDED HAND AND FINGER FILE

When rock climbers get callouses on their hands or tear some skin on the wall, it’s best to file it down immediately. Otherwise, it might get worse or turn into an even bigger “flapper” (basically a giant gash in your hand or fingers).

This is my favorite hand file option. I've tried pumice and other such filing devices for sanding down my calloused hands after climbing, but this thing works way better... plus, it’s nice and small, so your favorite climber can keep it on hand (literally).

4. HOTHANDS HAND WARMERS

Sometimes the rock gets really cold, and, trust me, few things are worse in climbing than not being able to feel your fingers. Any climber would appreciate a pack of HotHands Hand Warmers to keep in their pockets or chalk bag to warm up when the crag gets chilly. Plus, you can stick your hand warmers in your climbing shoes between climbs to keep them toasty for your toes.

5. NUUN ELECTROLYTE TABLETS

When it’s warm out or you’re sweating a lot from trying hard on a climb, you really need to replace your electrolytes! Nuun are my favorite electrolytes, since they come in convenient tablets so they’re easy to stick in a climbing pack. That way you’ll always have them when you need them to prevent dehydration and cramps – which can definitely be a problem when you’re sticking your feet into downturned shoes all day.

Climbskin will help heal your skin after a long day of climbing.

6. GEAR AID TENACIOUS TAPE GEAR PATCHES

This stuff is the bomb, and such a simple, easy gift idea that is sure to please any outdoor enthusiast, AND it’s super affordable. Rips and tears in clothing are inevitable in the outdoor world, especially in rock climbing. I love this tape for patching up my favorite gear so that I can keep on wearing it.

It's great if people continue to reuse their gear instead of automatically buying something new. This tape works super well and comes in some fun shapes too.

7. SHOE DEODORIZER AND DISINFECTANT

Ok, no one likes smelly climbing shoes, but if your friend climbs often, the stink is inevitable. This stuff is great to get rid of the odor. Not a bad gift in my opinion, but if your friend takes gifts personally, maybe go for the hand repair cream instead, haha!

8. A LIGHT THROUGH THE CRACKS BOOK

Professional climber Beth Rodden has spent much of her life in the spotlight. Beyond being an exceptional climber in her own right, she was once married to another professional climber, Tommy Caldwell, of “The Dawn Wallfame. Her memoir details the pressure she felt for so long and how she was able to break down and then rebuild her life to find real joy in a different way.

9. ALONE ON THE WALL BOOK

Alex Honnold is one of the most famous climbers in the world. He is the first and only climber to have free soloed El Capitan in Yosemite National Park—you might have heard of him and that little movie Free Solo!

Honnold wrote a memoir outlining his seven biggest achievements in his limit-defying climbing career, and the updated version of the book includes two new chapters about his exploits on El Cap.

If you want to get into the head of one of the greatest free solo climbers of this generation, be sure to check this book out. It also makes a great gift for any of your climbing friends.

10. VALLEY OF GIANTS BOOK

Another book that would make an awesome gift for a climber is the new Valley of Giants by Lauren DeLaunay Miller. This book highlights the stories of some seriously badass women who helped develop the climbing scene in Yosemite. Starting from the 1930s and covering the different eras in the Valley to the present day, the book showcases the accomplishments of iconic climbers like Lynn Hill, the first person to free climb The Nose of El Cap (“It goes, boys.”), as well as many lesser-known but no less notable female climbers.

11. SO ILL NAIL CLIPPERS

Climbers probably spend more time inspecting their hands than anyone, and nail maintenance is especially crucial.

These So Ill nail clippers are nice because they come as a set of two, one for fingernails and one for toenails. These make a good stocking stuffer, and would be a perfect gift combo with the ClimbSkin Hand Repair Cream and the Climbskin Hand & Finger File.

12. CELL PHONE LANYARD

Climbers end up in some pretty cool and photogenic places, but it’s nerve-wracking to take your phone out to snap a photo and worry that you might drop it down a cliff. Luckily, a cell phone lanyard keeps your phone attached to your harness or pack while you take a photo. This makes a great gift for a climber that they might not even have thought of, but will definitely appreciate.

13. SEND BARS

Every climber needs a good crag snack, and professional climber Sasha DiGiulian is one of the founders of Send Bars, specifically designed for outdoor adventure athletes. These protein bars come in two types – Perform and Recovery – and several tasty flavors full of superfoods, functional mushrooms, adaptogens and greens.

14. ROCK CLIMBING HOLD MUG

This mug would be such a fun gift for your favorite rock climbing coffee lover! It’s a durable ceramic mug, but instead of a typical handle, it has a rock climbing hold so you can train your grip strength while sipping your cup of joe.

Gifts for Boulderers

15. THE POWER COMPANY CLIMBING TRAINING PROGRAMS

When you first start climbing, the best training is just to get on the wall more, but as you progress as a climber and want to take your skills to the next level, it can be really smart to start learning about how to train strategically for your goals. The Power Company creates awesome training programs that would make excellent gifts for any climber, and they have tons of options.

I’ve purchased the Boulder Better Program in the past and loved that I could follow the program easily without having to create my own plan. It is really well done and is easy to keep up with. The Power Company has all kinds of programs too, Here are just a few of the options:

Fundamental Skills for All Climbers:

  • Core Strength for Climbers

  • Movement Skills for Climbers

Advanced Climber Training Programs:

  • Boulder Strong

  • Climb 5.12

  • Climb 5.13

Specific Training Programs:

  • Kettlebells for Climbers

  • Applied Body Tension

…and many more! Definitely worth checking out!

16. TRANGO ROCK PRODIGY TRAINING CENTER HANGBOARD

This is hands-down our favorite hangboard to help build finger strength, and it would make an awesome gift for any boulderer. Most climbers love having a hangboard set-up at home, and the Trango Rock Prodigy is one of the best ones out there. Give your friend or family member the gift of finger strength! Trust me, they will love you for it.

Oh, and you could also pair this gift with the book, The Rock Climbers Training Manual, which includes hangboarding routines that work with this particular hangboard.

17. PORTABLE LED OUTDOOR LIGHT

Nighttime bouldering is the best, and having a good spotlight to shine a light on your boulder problem is essential. This spotlight is nice and small, but with a good, powerful light. It also has a USB port and rechargeable batteries, making it perfectly portable and a really great bouldering gift!

Any of these bouldering items will make great gifts for your rock-climbing loving friends.

18. FOOTLESS BIRD CLIMBING BRUSH

There are a ton of great climbing brushes out there, but this Footless Bird climbing brush is especially awesome. It’s ergonomically designed to easily clean grimy climbing holds without your hand getting in the way. And as an added bonus, this particular brush comes with a finger massager! Trust me, a boulderer can never really have enough climbing brushes.

19. BLACK DIAMOND MONDO CHALK BUCKET

Another essential piece of gear for boulderers is a good chalk bucket. Unlike sport climbers, boulderers typically don’t wear chalk around their waist to climb (although some boulderers do like to have a small chalk bag as well as a chalk bucket), so they can carry a much larger bag of chalk around.

I like the chalk buckets that fold down and that have zippered pockets to store things like your finger file and nail clippers. The Black Diamond Mondo Chalk Bucket checks off all these tick list items and makes for a great present for climbers. The Organic Lunch Bag Chalk Bucket is also a great choice and comes in extra colorful patterns.

BONUS IDEA: SEND CLIMBING KNEEBAR PAD

Another great gift for boulderers is getting them a kneebar pad from Send Climbing. These are perfect for climbing in caves as you find in Hueco Tanks or even The Rocklands.

GRAB MY [FREE] OUTDOOR BACKPACKER STARTER KIT

I created the Ultimate Outdoor Backpacker Starter Kit for you (and it's FREE)! This starter kit is filled with 14 pages of my best hiking and backpacking tips to help you learn what it takes to become a safe, confident, and self-sufficient outdoor backpacker!

Gifts for Sport Climbers

20. BELAY GLASSES FOR ROCK CLIMBING

I used to always want a pair of belay glasses so that I wouldn’t have to crane my neck when I was belaying Michael at the crag, but all the belay glasses I found were around $50-75, which always felt way too expensive.

Well, one day I was searching around again, and I found these belay glasses on Amazon, which, to my delight, were only $20! They work great, and these would make a great gift for any sport climber!

21. BOOK: VERTICAL MIND

Physical strength is only half the battle in climbing, I love that there are more and more books out there these days teaching us ways to train our minds, and this is a great one for that. Vertical Mind is really great read for any climber on a rope.

22. BLACK DIAMOND VISION HELMET

Rock climbing helmets have come a really long way since I first started climbing. Michael and I both invested in Black Diamond helmets, and we love them so much! They are super lightweight compared to our older helmets, and they have great coverage while still feeling breathable.

I highly recommend a great helmet like this one. We got these for each other as Christmas gifts one year, and were absolutely thrilled with them.

A new rope or good helmet always make for great climbing gifts!

23. PETZL GRIGRI BELAY DEVICE

I’m a big fan of the Petzl GRIGRI belay device. It provides peace of mind and an extra measure of safety in my climbing system. I pretty much only use the GriGri to belay Michael because he weighs so much more than me. It’s nice to know that if I go flying up into the air on a big lead fall, that I’ll have him no matter what.

It’s also nice to know that if he for some reason knocked down a rock on my head and it knocked me out, he would still likely be ok because the assisted braking system of the GriGri should auto-lock.

I love this thing. It’s a bit pricey, so some people don’t opt to get one when they first start climbing, but I think it’s a great option for any sport or trad climber.

24. TRANGO CORD TRAPPER ROPE TARP

The best way to keep your climbing rope clean and in good shape is to use a climbing tarp of some sort. It’s surprising how many climbers don’t lay anything on the ground at all when they are flaking out their rope for the climb.

Tarps help preserve the quality of your rope for longer, and if you have multiple ropes, it’s nice to have a couple of these tarps!

25. LA SPORTIVA WARMUP PRIMALOFT SKIRT

A skirt might seem like a strange gear option for a climber, but hear me out. Climbing in the early spring and fall can be quite chilly—especially for the belayer—and having something simple and warm to throw on over your climbing pants or leggings is an actual lifesaver when it comes to staving off the inevitable chill.

The full-length zippers on each side of the skirt make it incredibly easy to transition from belayer to climber. Comfy and cute, this is the perfect and unexpected gift for your climber friend.

26. PETZL DJINN AXESS QUICKDRAWS

Quickdraws are one of the key pieces of gear for sport climbing since that’s what you clip the rope into, so every sport climber needs a set. The Petzl Djinn Axess quickdraws are bigger, heavier draws which are extra durable so they are especially great for beginning sport climbers or those who try hard and take lots of falls.

Most sport climbers will want at least 12 quickdraws, so 6 is a great start – or you can splurge and get your sport climbing friend a full dozen!

27. KONG PANIC DRAW

Nothing is worse than trying to clip a bolt that is just out of reach, and that’s where the Kong Panic Draw saves the day! This quickdraw is specially designed with a long, stiff dogbone and a carabiner that stays open until it makes contact with the bolt. Any sport climber will breathe a sigh of relief having this on their harness!

28. TRANGO BETA STICK EVO STICK CLIP

Another great way to clip a bolt that’s out of reach is a stick clip, and just about any sport climber will appreciate this handy tool. Stick clips are especially indispensable when clipping first bolts where the climbing is hard or sketchy and you would be unprotected if you fell. Some routes and climbing areas are even bolted with the idea that people will stick clip the first bolt in mind.

The Trango Beta Stick Evo Stick Clip is a well-designed stick clip that is very popular at the crag. It has a lightweight, telescoping pole, so it’s easy to stick in or attach to a pack when it’s collapsed.

Another option is the Superclip which is simple and cheap, but does require a painter’s pole to attach it to – or resourceful climbers can attach it to an actual long stick!

Best Gifts for Trad Climbers

29. MAMMUT CRAG CLASSIC ROPE (60-70M)

Another great gift for any trad or sport climber is a new climbing rope! If your climbing friend is out there climbing outdoors all the time, it’s likely his or her rope has seen a lot of lead falls and dirt and abuse, so the rope needs to be replaced after a while.

Michael and I tend to like smaller diameter (around 9.5mm) ropes because they are lighter, and we prefer a 70m rope so we can do longer pitches. Mammut has some great options for ropes in different lengths, and a 60m to 70m rope is usually a pretty safe bet for a gift for an outdoor climber (anything less will probably be too short).

30. DMM WALLNUT NUT SET

You’ll never go wrong by getting your trad-climbing friend some more gear, like a set of DMM Wallnuts. Trad climbers can never have enough gear!

We love to find it on climbs, and we love to add to our current set of tools. Michael and I have always found these DMM Wallnuts to be nice for the rock in California, and our Content Manager Kate swears by them in Colorado, too!

31. METOLIUS GEAR SLING

Trad climbers end up with a ton of gear, and the Metolius Gear Sling with multiple loops is an awesome way to keep it all organized. They can rack up right onto this gear sling and climb with it, or simply use it to keep everything in order in their pack or in their gear storage spot. It makes a really great gift!

Safety items like the helmet and headlamp make for great gifts for rock climbers.

32. TRANGO PIRANHA KINFE

Looking for a unique gift? This Piranha knife is super cool! In rock climbing, weight matters! Having lighter gear is better than heavier gear, and the Trango Piranha Knife weighs almost nothing but can cut through just about anything.

It’s an awesome knife for adventures. It’s the only one I bring with me, and it’s strong enough to cut through the rope. Though we try to avoid cutting our rope at all costs (Michael and I still haven’t had to do this yet) it’s good to be prepared to have a way to do this if there is an emergency of some sort.

33. PATAGONIA CRAGSMITH PACK

Another great gift is a well-designed bag to carry all that trad-climbing gear in. I love the Patagonia Cragsmith Pack because the back panel opens up completely, making it super easy to load and unload all of your gear. It also has some interior gear loops to keep quickdraws, belay devices, and other gear organized. This would be a great gift!

34. PATAGONIA HOUDINI JACKET

The Houdini jacket is a relatively new favorite of mine, and in particular, the Alpine Houdini jacket, because it is super lightweight, wind and rain resistant. I bought one of the men’s Alpine Houdini jackets because I liked the colors better, and it fits me just fine.

This is typically the only rain jacket I bring with me here in California on climbing trips, long hikes or even backpacking trips (as long as the weather looks fairly decent) It has been an awesome addition to my outdoor clothing arsenal. Another reason it makes for a great climbing gift is that it can be stuffed into its own pocket and clipped to a harness easily and out of the way.

35. BLACK DIAMOND CRACK GLOVES

Trad climbers are addicted to crack...climbing, that is! And jamming your hand in cracks can be quite painful, which is why most trad climbers either tape up their hands or invest in crack gloves. Black Diamond’s version of crack gloves are super thin and have extra thumb protection. Trad climbers would be thrilled to unwrap a pair of these!

Gifts for Indoor Rock Climbers

36. BLACK DIAMOND MOMENTUM HARNESS

Most gym climbers typically start with rope climbing (although I always advocate to also start bouldering when you are gym climbing or if you are just getting started with climbing).

A good harness is essential to rope climbing, and one of the first pieces of gear that gym climbers need to invest in. The Black Diamond Momentum Harness is a great harness to start with, and a great gift for any new gym climber (or seasoned climber needing a fresh harness).

37. CHALK BAG

Another great item to have at the climbing gym is your own personal chalk bag. If your friend is big into roped climbing, then a smaller chalk bag like the Black Diamond one here will suit them perfectly. If they’re more of a boulderer, then a chalk bucket (which we mentioned in the bouldering section above) would be a great gift as well.

You can also go for a chalk bag that is more fun with one of the fuzzy creatures from 8BPlus. Our Content Manager Kate always gets compliments on her chalk bag creature at the crag! :)

Gym climbing helps you prep for outdoor climbing.

38. BOOK: TRAINING FOR CLIMBING

Climbing gyms are great places for training. There are a variety of holds and angles to climb on to practice all kinds of strength and skill exercises. Many gyms these days also have weights, pull-up bars, and fingerboards as well.

If you think your friend might want to step up their climbing training at the gym, this book would be a great start. Couple this book with one of the training plans from The Power Company mentioned above in the bouldering section, and that would be a really awesome gift!

39. CRAG CARDS: ESSENTIAL CLIMBING KNOTS

Another great thing about climbing gyms is that they provide a safe place to practice all of your climbing skills, including working on your climbing knots. These crag cards will help any climber hone their rope tying skills in no time.

40. METOLIUS ROCK RINGS

Rock rings are a great training device to start on to get a feel for fingerboard training, particularly when you are just starting out. They are much easier to install than a fingerboard, and you can also do pull-ups easily on them.

One of the first things I ever bought when I started training for climbing more seriously was a set of these Metolius Rock Rings.

Best Gifts for Climbers to Keep Them Safe & Injury Free

41. AMERICAN ALPINE CLUB MEMBERSHIP

A great gift for the climber in your life is an American Alpine Club Membership. Besides supporting an important climbing organization, one great benefit to the AAC membership is that, at the Partner level and above, the climber gets $7,500 worth of rescue coverage (and $5,000 of medical coverage) in case they have to reach out to a rescue team in the mountains. It’s more than worth the peace of mind!

42. GARMIN INREACH MINI 2 SATELLITE COMMUNICATOR

While the Garmin inReach Mini 2 is a pricey gift, this in my opinion would be the ULTIMATE gift for any climber (or backpacker or hiker for that matter).

I’ve loved having this thing with me when I hit the trails. In an emergency, you can trigger an SOS for 24/7 search and rescue, if something horribly wrong happens while you are on the trail or out in the backcountry on a climb. What is even cooler about this tiny device is that you can also have 2-way communication with the ones you love and send and receive messages while you are in a “dead" zone for cell service.

The Garmin inReach Mini also has the ability to send a constant tracking signal while you are outdoors, so you can actually have your family members check up on you while you are hiking or climbing. Pretty rad!

43. ROCKY TALKIES
Rocky Talkies are two-way radios specifically designed for outdoor adventures like climbing! These rugged radios are extremely durable, have a long battery life, and the attached carabiner makes it easy to attach to a harness or pack.

Rocky Talkies would make a perfect gift for climbers who love to do multi-pitch climbs where climbing partners often are out of sight and earshot of each other.

44. PETZL ACTIK HEADLAMP

I pretty much don’t go anywhere without a headlamp, including when I go out to climb, and PARTICULARLY if we are going into the backcountry or on a longer, more complicated climb. I have a Petzl headlamp, and it has been going strong for several years now.

Once when I was backpacking near Half Dome, I ran into some hikers who looked lost. It was getting close to sunset, so I asked them if they needed any help. They told me they had just gotten down the cables from Half Dome and weren’t sure which way to head back to the trailhead. They didn’t have anything with them. No water filter, no jackets, and no headlamp. All they had was their phone flashlight, which definitely wouldn’t last them on the way back down. Don’t be this person, and don’t let your friends be them either. Make sure they have essentials like light!

Therapy and self-care items are an essential part of rock climbing recovery and make for great gifts.

45. THERA CANE MASSAGER

Taking care of your body and muscles is essential to climbing recovery, and the Thera Cane Massager is an excellent way for climbers to get the kinks out of their muscles after a long day of climbing or training. A must-have for any climbers recovery arsenal.

46. THERAGUN MINI MASSAGE GUN

If you want to invest a little more in a gift for a climber’s sore muscles, the TheraGun Mini will be much appreciated. In fact, our Content Manager Kate received one as a gift and can attest that it is awesome!

This percussive massage gun gets deep into the muscles to really help deal with those knots and stubborn achy spots. The Theragun Mini is small enough to bring on climbing trips, and it’s a really great tool to share around the campfire after a long day of hard climbing.

47. BOOK: MAKE OR BREAK

This book is great if you are looking to prevent climbing injuries or if you (or your friend) is recovering from an existing injury.

48. ACCUPRESSURE MASSAGE RINGS

Recovery is an important part of climbing, and our hands especially need frequent breaks from holding our bodies up on rock walls.

These acupressure massage rings are a great way for your fellow climbers to help their fingers recover. The ring has tight coils that massage the tendons and tissue in one’s fingers. These are small and convenient, so you can easily take them anywhere and make your fingers feel better after all the work they do in climbing.

Best All-Around Gifts for Climbers

49. LA SPORTIVA TX GUIDE APPROACH SHOES

Approach shoes are essential to climbers, since we have to hike just to get to the base of our climbs, sometimes over long distances and up steep hillsides. Michael & I own several different types of approach shoes, and our favorite 5.10 Guide Tennies have been discontinued, but the La Sportiva TX Guide approach shoes are a good replacement.

Approach shoes make the hike to the climbing crag easier and also give you the support of having sticky rubber for traction on rocky and slabby sections of the approach. Some seasoned climbers even do some of their easy actual rock climbing in approach shoes. These shoes also make great alpine climbing and hiking shoes for Class 3 and Class 4 hikes.

50. NATIONAL PARK PASS

A US National Parks Pass makes for a really awesome gift for any outdoor enthusiast. The passes cost about $80, but they give you access to all sites managed by the National Park Service, Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation for a whole year.

It’s worth the price if you or the climber you’re shopping for does a lot of outdoor climbing and exploring in these areas (for instance, if they love climbing in Yosemite National Park). Otherwise, entrance fees run about $20-$30 per visit. After 3-4 visits, the pass has paid for itself. We buy one every year.

51. DYNAMITE STARFISH APPAREL & STICKERS

Climbers usually want to declare proudly that they’re climbers, often through shirts and stickers. Dynamite Starfish is a small woman-owned company that “creates rock climbing inspired designs for climbers, misfits, and lovers.”

The fun designs are printed on tanks, tees, stickers, and more, and will let the climber in your life share and wear their love for climbing. Our Content Manager Kate is partial to the the “Climb for Snacks” tank top. :)

52. KULA CLOTH

The Kula Cloth is a true game-changer for outdoor adventurers who squat to pee when it comes to backpacking hygiene! It’s a reusable pee cloth, which is made of antimicrobial fabric to keep germs from building up. It easily attaches to a pack with the built-in loop and has a snap to keep it clean and folded up.

Kula Cloths come in a variety of patterns, so you can find the perfect one for your favorite climber to proudly attach to a carabiner and display on their pack.

53. REEL ROCK FILMS

Michael and I go see the new Reel Rock films every year when they tour. The films are really awesome and super inspiring. One day I'd like to own all of them, but right now, we only have the Valley Uprising video.

Any of these videos would make great gifts, and you can buy the streaming version as a gift for your favorite climber. We like to turn them on when we have friends over for a little climbing inspiration in the background while making dinner.

If you’re looking for an all-around gift for climbers you can’t go wrong with a gift card or national parks pass.

54. THE CLIMBING ZINE SUBSCRIPTION

While the classic Climbing magazine is no longer available in print, you can get your favorite climber a print magazine to look forward to with a subscription to The Climbing Zine. This independent publication features photos and essays from climbers themselves that truly capture the essence of climbing and the community it creates.

55. DRY ICE TOOLS

Not all climbing actually involves rock. While winter is normally a season where climbers either migrate to the desert or focus in the gym, your fellow crag dwellers might also get into ice climbing once the cold rolls in.

These Dry Ice tools are an innovative way to practice ice climbing. They will give your climbing friends the ability to learn and practice ice and mixed climbing before deciding to invest in outdoor gear. These tools are great for indoor training and strength building as your friends add another type of climbing to their outdoor arsenal.

56. BOOK: MOUNTAINEERING FREEDOM OF THE HILLS

Mountaineering: Freedom of the Hills is basically the ultimate climbing bible! It’s the size of a massive textbook, and it explains literally everything about how to climb, from movement to technical skills to safety. Despite the title, it’s way more than just mountaineering and would make a great gift for a climber of any level.

57. REI GIFT CARD

If you really can’t determine what gift ideas for climbers might be best, it’s always safe to get them an REI Gift Card. You can choose the amount and can even go as low as $10. It’s a great option if you really don’t know what to get the climber in your life, especially if they are the kind of person that seems like they “already own everything”.

Trust me, I’ve never heard of any rock climber being sad about getting a gift card to REI. You really can’t go wrong.

I hope this rock climbing gift guide has sparked some ideas for your climbing friends and family members (or maybe yourself)! If you have any questions or want any other suggestions, reach out to me in the comments below, and be sure to check out some of our other gear resources!
